About the Company

Lori Lori Barber began her career as a dancer with San Francisco Ballet, having had the honor of working with many wonderful choreographers and performing in too many great works of dance to list. After a brief hiatus from the stage she returned to performing as an aerialist in 2008. Since then she has enjoyed both choreographing and performing in productions for NY based comedy troupe FUCT, as well as Brooklyn based Lady Circus most notably seen in the widely received Fuct and Lady Circus present: Cirque du Quoi?!? and more recently in Anya Sapozhnikova's Horror Show. When not rehearsing with this spectacular cast she is also a pilates instructor, personal trainer, and dance teacher. Lori is very proud of the work everyone has put into this show and is excited for the debut of Constellation Moving Company!!!!

Maia Maia Ramnath was in an earlier incarnation a scholarship student at the Merce Cunningham, Martha Graham and Jennifer Muller studios, and performed with various modern dance and aerial choreographers and groups in NYC including Pat Catterson, Rachel Cohen, Jonathan Appels, Elise Knudsen, Jill Sigman/Thinkdance, Cirque Boom, Chalasa Performance Company, and the Merce Cunningham Repertory Understudy Group. She also showed her own work in various venues. In her next incarnation she performed in Santa Cruz, CA with Lunacy Aerial Productions and Wide Blue Yonder Dance while attending grad school at the University of California. In her current incarnation she creates and performs work with Constellation Moving Company and Sarah Wollschlager's Surface to Air Dance; including directing the full-length aerial/dance/theater production "Riddle of the Sphinx" at The Sky Box in August 2009. In her spare time she teaches history at NYU.

Scott Scott Combs trained static trapeze with Elena Panova and Helene Turcotte of the San Francisco Circus Center while finishing his graduate education. A job brought him here to New York three years ago, and since then he has continued to work on static as well as teach trapeze classes. He is honored to be part of this group of talented and inspiring movers. Special thanks to Danielle Natoli, Aidan O'Shea, and Rebecca Stronger.

Katrina Katrina Cydylo is a yoga teacher and personal trainer. She has a degree in Art from Hunter College and has a background in ballet and ballroom dance. Previous performing experiences include the Christopher Caines Dance Company and the Metropolitan Opera Ballet. Katrina is very excited to be a part of this fun and dynamic group!
Elena Elena Delgado moved to New York from San Francisco after earning her BA in fine art and English literature. She started taking aerial circus classes shortly thereafter and quickly became obsessed. She feels honored and privileged to be performing in the company of so many incredible artists, dancers who taught her that movement, like any other art, is a form of communication and belongs to bodies of all types. She is currently pursuing her MA at the CUNY Graduate Center and trying to learn as much as she possibly can.
Sarah Sarah Delp hails from Northern Virginia by way of Africa, the Middle East and California. Her hunger for aerial was first sparked by watching a DVD of the aerial contortion act in Cirque Du Soleil's Quidam. This hunger was reignited when she moved to NYC four years ago and saw her first live silks performance. It was then she knew that she had to learn this gorgeous art. A dancer and singer since age 4, she has performed professionally with the Royal Jordanian Ballet Company, Willows Theater Company and Shakespeare Santa Cruz. She is excited to combine her aerial and dance abilities for the first time in this debut performance with Constellation Moving Company. She gives a special thanks to all who support and inspire her, Matthew Wagner for his tap brilliance, and of course, Hotpants.
Satomi Satomi Shikata (AKA Sato) began her training as a performing artist of dance, theater, and music in Japan before moving to New York in 1993. She has danced for Mark Dendy, Daniel Gwirtzman, Igal Perry, Lynn Neuman, and others. She was a featured dancer for the international tour of "Kate's Chink-O-Rama" 2000-2004 and is the creator of "Cyberbutoh", which incorporates theatrical entertainment with modern art. Film credits: "Bare feet negotiation", a dance film directed and choreographed by Charlotte Griffin 2008; "Subway Poetry", spoken word and movement with Kate Rigg (ongoing work).
